Patrick Melville
Stylist, Co-OwnerSynonymous with high fashion and timeless beauty, Patrick Melville is considered one of the most prestigious hairstylists in the fashion industry. He began his 20-year career in London with British Vogue and his work has since appeared in Vogue, W, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar. He has collaborated with top editorial photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, Gilles Bensimon, Kurt Marcus, Peggy Sirota and Walter Chin. His celebrity clients include Ashley Judd, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Halle Berry, Heidi Klum, Demi Moore, Molly Sims, Sharon Stone, Brooke Shields, Sting, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Cruise and Harry Connick, Jr. In 2007, Patrick opened the Patrick Melville Salon in Rockefeller Center.
Rick Wellman
Colorist, Co-OwnerPatrick Melville Salon’s co-owner and Color Director, Rick Wellman, has been regarded as one of the most prestigious hair colorists in the fashion industry for over 15 years. A former painter, he attended advanced cosmetology schools in Toronto and London. His exclusive and innovative coloring technique, Biolights, uses 100% biodegradable cotton pads, which allows him to create natural and vibrant highlights—from root to end—less abrasively than with foil coloring. His clients include Brooke Shields, Mariska Hargitay, Lindsay Lohan, former Miss Universe and Clairol spokesmodel Dayanara Torres and supermodel Petra Nemcova. Prior to the Patrick Melville Salon, Rick served as a colorist at the renowned Warren-Tricomi Salon in New York.
